Here at Ames Spine & Sport, we try our best to continue to encourage movement and meaningful movement while treating you.  We know many of you find the support you need here with our fitness-forward providers that will do everything we can to keep you moving and doing it safely while overcoming injuries.

🙋‍♀️Who is tired of seeing a Doctor and their response to your pain complaints is “well, if it hurts then don’t do it”. 🙄.
Maybe we should try, “Oh, I understand. If that particular movement is uncomfortable, but it is something you want to do, let’s find a way to slightly modify the exercise, give you some movements to help get you back to that exercise and then you’ll be able to get back to that exercise soon.”

Why do we (providers, patients, humans...) create so many barriers to exercise?! It needs to stop.  🛑
