Using the "laser"

Many of you have heard me reference the “laser” to treat various aches, pains and injuries.  Perhaps, like many patients, you have experienced incredible results with our laser but want a deeper understanding of what it is.

Are you ready to geek out with me?  Let’s go!

We use a MR4Pro laser from MultiRadiance in our office.  This sophisticated software synergizes wavelengths to have the optimal absorption of the photons.  The software scans tissue from surface level to deeper to further aid in the therapeutic effect.

What is the laser?

The laser is designed to provide light energy to the tissue.  By doing this, patients will experience decreases in pain and increases in circulation (this is how we heal!).  A laser is a beam with concentrated energies with unique properties—coherence and monochromaticity.  By utilizing this modality, we can increase the speed, quality and strength of tissue repair and also reduce pain that patients are experiencing.

What do you use laser for?

Pretty much anything.  It’s excellent for treating muscle, ligament and tendon injuries, connective tissue, bone, nerve complaints and the skin itself.  I utilize laser in the office to speed the healing for sprains, strains, broken bones, arthritic pains, tendinopathies, healing surgical incisions, and more!

If you are curious about laser treatment, ask me about it at your next visit or give us a call!  We would love to help you experience faster healing and less pain!
